Assistant Director, Institutional Equity and Diversity

The Office of Institutional Equity and Diversity (OIED) at Old Dominion University is seeking candidates for the Assistant Director (full-time, 12 month) position.
This position will investigate internal and external complaints and write findings and recommendations.
This position will also provide compensation review analysis in compliance with federal and state laws as well as University policies to promote equitable compensation.
Required Education:
Master's degree in a related field of study or a bachelor's degree with work experience in a related field of study to equate to a master's or other advanced degree may be considered.
Training in equal opportunity, affirmative action, equity, and/or human relations.

Qualifications:
Comprehensive experience with Title IX and civil rights investigations.
Comprehensive experience in equal opportunity/affirmative action and Title IX in a higher education setting.
Comprehensive experience in employee relations or employment law.
Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of equal opportunity and affirmative action and all laws and policies governing its application.
Some experience with or demonstrated knowledge of the principles governing equal pay reviews.
Demonstrated ability to conduct research, fact-finding, employ effective investigative techniques, reasoning and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to interpret information, determine its accuracy, and recommend an appropriate course of action.
Demonstrated mediation, negotiation, and alternative dispute resolution skills.
Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a complex organization.
Demonstrated computer, analytical and quantitative skills; excellent writing and public speaking skills; effective interpersonal skills including conflict resolution capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to work with faculty, staff, and students in a diverse academic setting.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Juris doctor degree.
Demonstrated prior experience in a Deputy Title IX Coordinator or Title IX Coordinator role.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
