WAF Tech

WAF Tech is a Work Control Technician who will process work authorization forms (WAF) in accordance with the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFFM). It is a job in the Marine Repair Field that is approximately 75% administrative and 25% technical in nature. Former Navy senior enlisted personnel and junior officers from engineering, combat systems or aviation maintenance fields are well suited for this type of work. Processing WAF's involves an interface between Repair Activities and Ship's Force. It requires great attention to detail, often under chaotic circumstances. To facilitate this process, the WAF Control Technician must be able to identify shipboard components and to understand the Navy Tag-Out Program.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be able to obtain a security clearance and gain access to all government and military work sites
Must be physically able to climb ladders and generally maneuver aboard ship.
Be willing to work erratic hours including overtime on weekends
Have a privately owned vehicle available to be used for transportation to various work sites throughout the shift
Be willing to travel occasionally
Be computer literate in basic spreadsheets, word documents and email
Possess good customer relations skills
Compensation $18.00 and up DOEEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
