Location:
Naval Station in Norfolk, VA area.
Duties include:
Must be able to work with and lead others on multiple Navy development projects. The candidate may lead multiple teams of computer programmers, graphic artists, and other content developers. Will work closely with client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from the government to develop approved learning objectives and to obtain approval for the courseware design. May involve some travel to client sites.
Experience:
Minimum of six (6) years of Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) experience with DoD training programs using the Planning, Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (PADDIE) or predecessor process models. ISD experience supporting development of distance learning and self-paced instruction is required - instructor led experience is a plus. Must be familiar with creating NAVEDTRA Series deliverables including generating learning objectives, task lists, lesson plans, trainee guides, course outlines, instructional strategies, test items, storyboards. The candidate must have documented experience with writing curriculum and revising and enhancing existing computer-based training products, or blended development and working with government SMEs.
Specific experience with Job Duty Task Analysis (JDTA), Front End Analysis (FEA), Business Case Analysis (BCA), Training Project Plans (TPPs), and entering data in Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM) II Content Planning Module (CPM) or Learning Object (LO) Module. Analyze Training Tasks, generate Course Training Task Lists including standards and requirements sources and be able to review deliverables to determine if the requirements are met by the material developed.
Familiarity with the Learning Management Systems, Sharable Content Object Resource Model (SCORM), and U.S. Navy's Human Performance Requirement Review (HPRR) is preferred, but not required. Some telework is acceptable with prior client approval.
The candidate must be able to explain his/her experience in instructional design, learning theory, educational psychology/evaluation, instructional product development and the application of computers in education and training.
Education:
Minimum of Bachelor's degree or higher in Instructional Technology, Instructional Systems Design or equivalent
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to pass background investigation to qualify for Secret Level Security Clearance. Existing or recently expired clearance is desired.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
