Job Description:
Work with general supervision with instructions given for new lines of work or special assignments.
Performs a wide variety of tasks in support of a manufacturing/production environment.
Duties include assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, fabrication, repair and/or inspection of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems according to specifications.
Prepare parts and equipment for paint to include cleaning and degreasing, operating media blast machine, glove box type blast equipment, hand sanding and sanding with power sanders.
Protect unpainted surfaces by masking. Utilize chemicals safely to prepare items for paint. Works from process sheets.

Required Knowledge, Skills and
Experience:
Mechanical skills required.
Must be able to operate media blast machine.
Must be able to perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, panels, drawers, frames, and cabinets.
Must be capable of performing basic tasks associated with body and prep work for painting operations including applying bonding to painted surfaces.
Must be available for 1st or 2nd shift

Desired Knowledge, Skills and
Experience:
Experienced working on military equipment.

Required Education
High School or equivalent with 2 plus years' experience.

Other Requirements (Clearance, Travel & Special Work Environment)
Work in industrial environment and be able to lift 35 lbs. unassisted.
Good eyesight (corrected or uncorrected) and ability to distinguish color is necessary.
Must be capable of passing a physical for and wearing a full face cartridge respirator.
Employee will be working in a surface preservation and coating work-center where levels of dust containing Chromium Hexavalent Cr(VI) and similar materials exceed OSHA Action Levels - necessitating full body PPE including respirator, and use of a changing room for controlling cross-contamination of personal clothing, or removing the potential hazard from the work-center.
Applicant will be placed into Cr (VI) Management Program with Medical Surveillance and subject to frequent monitoring by Industrial Hygienists for compliance with Company and OSHA standards.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
