Plant Manager

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the production, logistics, planning, engineering and quality departments - through a team of Managers and Supervisors, you will direct, lead, motivate, train and develop your staff to achieve the highest levels of operational excellence.
Key responsibilities to the role will include:
oReview operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
oReview processing schedules or production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, or duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
oHire, train, evaluate, or discharge staff or resolve personnel grievances.
oCoordinate or recommend procedures for facility or equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines.
oSet and monitor product standards, examining samples of raw products or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.
oDevelop budgets or approve expenditures for supplies, materials, or human resources, ensuring that materials, labor, or equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of plant management experience in the food manufacturing industry - knowledge of GMP and HACCP is also essential. Extensive people management experience is required, as is the ability to deal with people at all levels, from the shop floor up to C-level executives.
