This position is located in the Naval Facilities engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic, Operations Officer, AOPS/DAOPS OFFICER ICPT Hampton Roads, Environmental Compliance and Services, Oil Recovery, NAVFAC MIDLANT, Norfolk VA. The incumbent is primarily responsible for assisting division personnel in the support of the containment and recovery of oil and other similar waste that are spilled in the Sewells Point Area.
Norfolk, Virginia is located at the core of the Hampton Roads metropolitan area, named for the large natural harbor of the same name located at the mouth of Chesapeake Bay. Norfolk is considered to be the historic, urban, financial, and cultural center of the region. For Norfolk attractions you can take a tour of the Elizabeth River harbor on a majestic tall ship, sip on some of the best wines around at Mermaid Winery, boat or land tour of the world''s largest Naval Base.
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT : The incumbent serving in this position may be assigned to a similar position at any site or workstation within the Hampton Roads area.
