Marine Mechanic-Level III

Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. has opportunities available for full time Marine Mechanic-Level III Technicians in Virginia Beach, VA.
Summary: The Marine Mechanic-Level III Technician will provide troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and material assessment of marine propulsion and or power generation for various types of patrol boats, equipment, mechanical systems, and components in accordance with OEM technical specifications in CONUS & OCONUS locations, as required.
Roles and
Responsibilities:
Uses technical knowledge and experience to troubleshoot and identify causes for equipment/system failure to the component level.
Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
Performs Lay-ups and related maintenance checks of boats in mid-level storage program.
Performs Start-ups and related maintenance checks of boats in mid-level storage program.
Provides written reports for all work accomplished and completed action documentation.
Performs other duties as assigned in support of maintenance/repair as required.
Maintains shop equipment.
Provides technical support relative to the operation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of marine mechanical systems, subsystems and components including but not limited to:
Cummins Diesel Engines
Hamilton Waterjet Model HJ292
Hamilton Waterjet Model HM651
Twin Disc Marine Gear Transmission
Westerbeke 33KW EDE D-NET Generator
Minimum
Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Vocational degree or general educational diploma
A minimum of 3 years general experience in their respective trade
2 consecutive years of experience repairing and troubleshooting the equipment the aforementioned patrol boat equipment. Have moderate understanding of technical requirements.
Ability to identify technical problems and solutions.
Knowledge of proper use of diagnostic equipment.
Possess basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Possess organizational skills.
Possess effective oral and written communication.
Have moderate understanding of technical requirements.
Ability to identify technical problems and solutions.
Ability to work in a team environment and be flexible.
Ability to travel overseas when required.
Possess or ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
Ability to obtain a US Passport.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Prior military expeditionary equipment maintenance experience.
A graduate of CUMMINS Insite Familiarization course and hold an Insite Qualification & Tier 3 QSB/QSC Engine Qualifications
and/or
Certified to work on Mercury Outboard Systems to include Optimax and Verado outboard engines and have completed Intro to CDS and Verado/Optimax I & II qualifications
ADA Notations:
Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work in a field environment for extended periods (and in some cases, areas of extreme heat and humidity such as Guam, Djibouti, Bahrain, etc).
Ability to be able to work in maintenance shop environment
Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions.
Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
Job may require bending, stooping, lifting, and will be in an environment of low and high temperatures.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
