JOB Join SAIC's mission to protect the American Warfighter every day by working on the Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program or SEWIP program. SEWIP is an evolutionary acquisition and incremental development program to upgrade the existing AN/SLQ-32(V) electronic warfare system. Candidate must have experience and ability to read ships diagrams for power distribution, LP air systems, and valve alignments for both air and water systems. Candidate should have experience and trouble-shooting skills that deal with interface issues for copper, fiber and RF over Fiber connections. Candidate will aid in repairs of the system after startup and provide system familiarization training to sailors on the ship as part of verification testing JOB Read ships diagrams Combat Systems Operational Sequencing System (CSOSS) for power distribution, LP air systems, and valve alignments for both air and water systems Troubleshoot possible interface issues over copper, fiber and RF over Fiber connections Aid in repairs of the system after startup Provide FAM training to sailors on the ship as part of verification testing Qualifications REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND Bachelors and five (5) or more years experience; Masters and three (3) years or more years experience. Additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree. Experience will include any of the following occupations- Electronics/Engineering former Navy EW CTT/CTM or Aviation Electrician's Mates (AE), Aviation Electronics Technician. Knowledge and understanding of the Shipboard Electronic Warfare systems to include one or more of the AN/SLQ-32 ES-3601 WBR-2000 MK53 NULKA SLA-10D HGHS Ability to climb ship mast and work from heights Ability to work with harness on while aloft Ability to work within confined spaces Medically cleared and ability to go underway for short periods of time Formal Navy Schoolhouse training on a Maritime or Airborne Electronic Warfare System Flexibility to travel on short notice to provide on-ship support Must be a US Citizen Interim clearance required to start with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process. DESIRED Fiber certification IT/Windows/Linux experience Previous EW Experience (general) Previous technician experience (i.e., FC/ET/CTT/AT/AE) SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline. Covid SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
