Histology Technician
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of histological procedures including tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting of tissue specimens.
- Operate and maintain histology equipment and instruments to ensure accurate and efficient processing of samples.
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and stains according to standard protocols.
- Assist pathologists and other medical staff in the interpretation and analysis of tissue specimens.
- Maintain accurate records of specimens, tests performed, and results obtained.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Histotechnology, or related field.
- Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) certification preferred.
- Previous experience working in a histology laboratory setting is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
