Histology Technician



Responsibilities:


  • Perform a variety of histological procedures including tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting of tissue specimens.
  • Operate and maintain histology equipment and instruments to ensure accurate and efficient processing of samples.
  • Prepare reagents, solutions, and stains according to standard protocols.
  • Assist pathologists and other medical staff in the interpretation and analysis of tissue specimens.
  • Maintain accurate records of specimens, tests performed, and results obtained.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Histotechnology, or related field.
  • Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) certification preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a histology laboratory setting is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
