Parts Advisors are responsible for providing customers with the BEST possible advice on car parts and accessories.
They have an extensive understanding of auto parts and how they work together to solve maintenance problems.
Parts Advisors also manage parts orders for the service department and body shops as well as maintain an organized showroom display for the dealership.
Location:
Rick Hendrick Chevrolet (Norfolk, VA).
Schedule:
Full Time, rotating shifts between 7:
30am-6:
00pm Mon-Fri.
, 8:
00am-5:
00pm on Saturdays, closed on Sundays.
Pay Range:
$50,000 per year and above (based on job performance).

Responsibilities:
Greet customers and assess their needs for car parts.
Answer customers' questions about product features, pricing and availability.
Research and advise customers on car parts, repairs and maintenance.
Assist customers in selecting the best car parts for their vehicle.
Receive and process orders for car parts.
Dispense parts to the service department and body shop.
Maintain accurate records of customer orders and inventory levels.
Provide product information and quotes to customers.
Monitor stock levels and order new parts as needed.
Address customer concerns and inquiries.
Order out-of-stock parts requested by customers.
Assist in taking inventory.
Meet departmental production and profitability goals.
Maintain CSI at or above dealership standards.
Answer telephone promptly and consistent with dealership guidelines.
Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area.
Participate in required training.
Record all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
Follow Safeguards rules and regulations.
Demonstrate the Company's Core Values.
Comply with Company policies and procedures.
Observe all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Working knowledge of automotive parts, tools, and equipment.
Previous experience in a car parts retail or wholesale setting preferred.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Essential Skills:
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Ability to use a computer and software applications to track parts.
Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
