The Health Information Services Clerk will maintain patients records for Maternal Fetal Medicine, OB Generalist, and Urogynecology office.
Prepare charts for patient's appointments.
File all correspondences and charts.
Faxed and send records to doctor offices, hospital, lawyers, insurance companies, etc.
Responsibilities:
Prepare outguides for new patient's appointments daily.
Scan correspondence into EMR daily.
Answer phones to assist with patient records.
Scan referrals into EMR daily.
Check EMR task daily.
Maintenance of medical record.
Verify patient information for accuracy.
Retrieve charts from storage when needed.
Copy, fax and mail records upon request to doctor office, lawyers, hospital, insurance, etc.
Charge tickets made and given to the Billing Department for record request.
Compliance with Policies and Procedures within the Department of Maternal Fetal Medicine, OB/GYN and EVMS Policies and Procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma and one year of relevant experience preferred.
