SAP Project Implementation Manager

Imagine One is seeking a dynamic and experienced SAP Implementation Manager to join our team and lead the successful implementation of SAP Financial and Material Management solutions to optimize business processes and drive growth supporting a NAVSEA program associated with the development, fielding and support of a large family of shore-based maintenance applications.
Work will be performed in Norfolk, Virginia.
Experience Requirements:
The SAP Implementation Manager will take leadership role to:
Analyze customer requirements for IT support and recommending preferred solution that optimizes engineering, management, and cost parameters.
Taking ownership of the requirements and manages the requirements from creation to completion.
Coordinate with the customer representatives to satisfy IT requirements, to include performing as the liaison between the service provider and the supported organization.
Analyze business processes and develop plans for re-engineering and replacing legacy systems to improve customer productivity, enhance maintainability, and reduce costs.
Coordinate test and evaluation of hardware and software being considered for implementation and develop and implements detailed installation plans for projects.
Support the diagnosis and resolution of IT problems and trouble reports for end users.
Utilize policies, procedures, and tools to manage and satisfy customer IT requirements, including hardware, commercial software, and developed software.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead the end-to-end SAP implementation project for Financial and Material Management, defining project scope, objectives, and timelines, and managing resources effectively.
Build and manage a dedicated team of SAP consultants, analysts, and developers to ensure smooth project execution.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements for Financial and Material Management and translate them into SAP configuration and customization needs.
o Work closely with SAP architects and consultants to design Financial and Material Management solutions that align with the company's needs and standards.
Develop a comprehensive project plan, including tasks, dependencies, and milestones, and ensure its successful execution.
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the project stays on track.
Establish and maintain rigorous testing and quality control processes to validate the SAP Financial and Material Management solutions meet business requirements.
Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure the smooth adoption of SAP Financial and Material Management solutions by end-users.
Collaborate with external SAP vendors and consultants, managing relationships and ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Maintain detailed documentation of project progress, issues, and resolutions.
o Plan and oversee end-user training programs for SAP Financial and Material Management solutions to ensure efficient and effective system utilization.
Provide post-implementation support and guidance to resolve any Financial and Material Management system-related issues.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with 10 years of related work experience, and minimum five years of SAP management experience System integration, project integration, and/or project management (PM) experience o Knowledgeable with Agile methodologies Knowledgeable with SAP S/4HANA or other enterprise COTS software Ability to gain concurrence and collaborate across multiple government sponsor groups.
Ability to communicate effectively with:
Management - providing status information, suggesting options and corrective actions, and taking direction when decisions are made; diverse customer organizations - accepting guidance and feedback on requirements and deliverables.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification REQUIRED Experience with Agile Software Development methodology Experience with Release Management Processes Agile Scrum certification o SAP consulting experience Security Requirements:
