Marine Electrician - 2nd Class - VA (3407) with Security Clearance
Amee Bay, LLC a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking Marine Electrician - 2 nd Class to join our group in Norfolk, VA Qualified Candidates will have:
Knowledge of Navy AC (60 and 400 Hz) and DC electrical systems.
Navy tag-out, WAF programs and applicable Naval procedures / instructions.
Working knowledge of QWI and associated forms.
Knowledge of OSHA safety practices.
Knowledge of Navy electrical and electronic systems.
Ability to troubleshoot, disassemble, and inspect electrical equipment with limited supervision.
Ability to disassemble, reassemble, and operationally test equipment with limited supervision.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems such as switchboards, switchgear, distribution panels, controls, etc.
Fully versed in the use of common electrical measuring instruments, and of various electronic measuring devices, such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, power analyzers and megohmmeters.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, written technical instructions and manuals.
Capable of cable run fabrication and wire way fabrication.
Working knowledge of trade mathematics and formulas in order to calculate voltage, amperes and resistance requirements and to determine size and types of material, such as controls, switches, distribution panels, fuses, etc.
Familiar with the use of Precision Measuring Instrumentation.
Position Requirements:
US Citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain Base Access and an Active Secret Security Clearance; Candidates with an Active Secret Security clearance are preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Navy 'A' / 'C' school(s) or completion of a vocational, maritime, or journeyman training program.
Minimum of four (4) years' experience.
Must have a valid U.
S.
Driver's License.
Must pass drug screening as a condition of employment.
