General Public - GJob DutiesThe Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) is seeking a qualified and experienced individual in the Office of Child Care Health & Safety in the Division of Early Childhood Care and Education.
This person is to serve as the Program Support Technician for the Eastern Region to provide advanced administrative support and technical program assistance work related to child care licensing.
Minimum Qualifications Ability to accurately collect, document, and analyze a variety of data and information sources Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others Demonstrated ability to work independently, communicate needs, and solve problems Knowledge of general office procedures and basic financial practices Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple work tasks independently Ability to effectively communicate with diverse constituencies Strong written and oral communication skills Excellent skills in computer technology use, including Microsoft Office Additional Considerations High school diploma or GED.
Ability to perform clerical skills such as filing, word processing, and the ability to work with email systems.
Written and oral fluency in English and Spanish.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
