R-00116420 Description Leidos is a dynamic and innovative technology solutions provider, working closely with the US Government to assist them in migrating their systems to the Azure cloud platform.
As we continue to expand our services, we are seeking a skilled and self-sufficient Systems Administrator Azure Migration Specialist to support efforts for NGEN-R; the successful candidate will be responsible for performing enterprise network operations and engineering support for a broad range of programs including planning, designing, and evaluating various components of the Navy's NMCI network on the NGEN-R Service Management, Integration and Transport (SMIT) program.
The Systems Administrator Azure Specialist needs to have a strong background in Windows Server administration and proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
This individual will have a crucial role in our service delivery team, collaborating with the Service Delivery Manager to support various projects and facilitate seamless migrations to Azure.
Primary Responsibilitieso Azure Migration Support:
Collaborate with the Service Delivery Manager to review applications targeted for migration to Azure.
Assess the existing infrastructure and determine the feasibility and requirements for the migration process.
o PowerShell Scripting:
Utilize your advanced PowerShell scripting skills to streamline current processes and automate various tasks involved in the migration process.
Develop efficient scripts to enhance system administration and troubleshooting procedures.
o System Administration:
Demonstrate proficiency in managing Windows Server environments, specifically Windows Server 2008 R2 and above.
Conduct regular system maintenance, performance monitoring, and ensure security compliance.
o Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to system configuration, network connectivity, and application functionality during the migration process.
o Cloud Console Coordination:
Collaborate with the US Government's cloud team to coordinate actions requiring cloud console access during migration projects.
o Documentation:
Maintain detailed documentation of migration plans, processes, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and project handovers.
Basic Qualificationso BS degree (or equivalent) in Cybersecurity, Information Security, IT, EE, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; with 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 to 6 years of prior relevant experience.
o Strong experience as a Systems Administrator, particularly with Windows Server 2008 R2 and newer versions.
o Proficiency in Windows Terminal and Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).
o Expertise in PowerShell scripting, with the ability to develop and deploy scripts for various administrative tasks.
o Familiarity with Azure cloud concepts and migration best practices is a plus but not mandatory, as this role is focused on assisting with the migration process rather than direct cloud engineering.
o Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior leadership, application owners, and technical teams effectively.
o Proven problem-solving skills and a self-sufficient approach to handling challenges.
o Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
o Additional years of related work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
o US Citizen and DoD Secret Clearanceo Hands-on Experience in working with DoD networks, including NIPR, SIPRo Plans implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the networko Advise network users of hardware requirements, configurations and limitationso Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written, including long-form business writing on complex topicso Demonstrated teamwork/interpersonal skills.

Pay Range $66,300.
00 - $102,000.
00 - $137,700.
