Primary Responsibilities Supports the annual BOLD QUEST life cycle:
Exercise/demonstration planning Coordinates US Service and Partner Nation aircraft and C2 participation Conducts detailed planning for air operations and leads planning working groups Coordinates clearances for authorization to operate manned and unmanned aircraft in CONUS and OCONUS locations Develops Air Concepts of Operations, Operation Plans, Air Tasking Orders (ATO), Airspace Control Plans (ACP), Special Instructions (SPINS), and Flight Schedules to support BQ mission thread objectives Exercise/demonstration execution Configures Exercise Control facilities Directs Exercise Control Air Plans and activities Exercise/demonstration post execution Facilitates aspects of After-Action Reviews related to Air Operations Supports post-event analysis (e.
g.
, validates findings, documents integration & interoperability issues) Contributes Air Operations expertise and perspective to post-event reports Interfaces with senior Government agencies, technical and administrative personnel, as well as other contractor/subcontractor personnel Basic Qualifications Minimum 10 years' experience, with at least 5 years' prior operational military experience Active SECRET Clearance and eligibility for TOP SECRET-SCI BA or BS Degree Air Operations experience at Component/Tactical Level:
Prior TAOC/CRC, JFACC or Navy Strike Group Staff Air Planning experience Experience in Combat Plans, Combat Operations, Strike Operations billets Experience developing and overseeing execution of ATOs, ACPs, ACOs, SPINS, and Flight Schedules Knowledge of staff planning, coordination, and execution of assigned tasks Strong communication skills.
Highly developed abilities to research, write, and prepare information papers, reports, briefing materials and other products as directed Knowledge of planning, coordinating, and monitoring military operations, with an emphasis on integration & interoperability issues as they apply to joint and combined warfare High degree of originality and resourcefulness to deal effectively with wide ranging responsibilities Diplomacy required to effectively represent Joint Staff J6 to diverse US and Partner Nation organizations Preferred Qualifications 10 years' operational military experience; time in leadership positions a plus Experience in Combatant Commands, Major Commands, and/or Joint Staff MA or MS degree a plus Combat experience in USCENTCOM AOR Pay Range:
Pay Range $84,500.
00 - $130,000.
00 - $175,500.
