59 PM EasternDescription The City of Norfolk's Department of Development is currently seeking a Real Estate Analyst that will serve as a trusted partner for the Department of Development's Office of Real Estate by overseeing the operational and financial aspect of a City leased spaces, including:
lease of property, rent collections, payments, compliance with City insurance requirements (certificates of insurance), maintenance support/ work scheduling and tenant relationsDepartmental Hiring Salary:
$52,755-$60,000 Essential Functions Essential functions include but are not limited to:
Oversee tenant relations program, which includes ongoing communication and use of tools such as a quarterly survey, focus groups, one-on-one meetings and site visits.
Uses CRM system including data inputs to monitor performance through identified Department and City goals.
Manages the departmental budget process by preparing the annual operating budget, monitoring operating budget expenditures throughout the year, and performing year-end reconciliation.
Also, serves as the departmental coordinator of the financial system by coordinating system upgrades, managing, resolving, and communicating fiscal matters to employees and their divisions, designing and leading audits to ensure adherence to rules and regulations.
Assist in the development of processes and procedures that support the overarching departments goals in alignment with the strategic plan.
Education/Experience Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field.
Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Bookkeeping or equivalent.
Three years experience in data analysis or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Additional Information & Requirements Work Location:

Retirement If you are hired October 5, 2010, or after to a position with City of Norfolk Retirement System benefits, you will be required to contribute five percent (5%) of your salary toward your retirement benefit.
This will be a pre-tax payroll deduction.
If you are hired January 1, 2022, or after to a position with Virginia Retirement System (VRS) benefits, you will be required to contribute five percent (5%) of your salary toward your retirement benefit.
This will be a pre-tax payroll deduction.
The Tuition Assistance Program is established to encourage employees toward continued self-development and education.
Permanent full-time and permanent part-time classified, unclassified permanent, full-time special projects, and constitutional employees who have completed six months continuous service will be eligible to apply.
