GENERAL SUMMARYThe RN - OR Specialty Team Leader plans, provides, and monitors individualized nursing care in response to specific patient needs within a defined scope of practice.
Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care respective to the assigned patient population.
Reports to department management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Serves as a resource for staff regarding specific skills demonstration, promotion of knowledge, teamwork and professionalism.
Plans, provides, and monitors individualized nursing care in response to specific patient needs within a defined scope of practice.
Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care respective to the assigned patient population.
Performs other duties as assigned.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONSCurrent Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Graduate of a Bachelors of Science in Nursing program required.
May consider Associates in Nursing / Diploma in Nursing with applicable experience and actively enrolled in a BSN program within three years completion from the date of hire.
Department specific RN certification preferred.
Pediatric experience preferred.
CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
WORKING CONDITIONSExpected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures.
Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected.
