Summary:
The Clinical Imaging Operations Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day clinical operations of all Mid-Atlantic imaging centers.
Works directly with the Manger of Imaging Operations to achieve the maximum volume and profitability by using staff and schedules in the most efficient manner, while keeping the patient flow and needs of the providers in mind.
Acting as the primary liaison with care centers for clinical operations and building effective relationships for continuous operational improvement.
Works directly with the radiologists to ensure protocols and quality imaging are achieved.
Essential Job Functions:
Supervise and train clinical imaging staff at all imaging locations.
Work with Manager of Imaging operations to ensure continual implementation of policies and protocols.
Ensure adequate staffing for day-to-day operations and support as needed.
Develops and maintains technologist staff schedules for efficient coverage.
Coordinates communication between care center providers and patients Reviews QC for each location quarterly and prior to all MQSA inspections with Lead Technologist Reviews quality concerns from the reading radiologist and provide additional training as needed Responsible for ensuring all MQSA and ACR standards are followed.
Works with Lead Technologist to complete and submit necessary imaging and documentation for ACR accreditation.
Ensure all technologists and radiologists MQSA and State requirements are current Work directly with Manager of Imaging Operations for payroll, hiring, and Performance Management of clinical staff Functions % Time Responsible for day-to-day clinical operations 60% Perform Mammography Exams 10% Regulatory quality tasks (MQSA, ACR) 20% Meetings and Other Duties 10% Additional Job Functions:
All other job requests as assigned by Manager Imaging Operations, Director of Imaging Operations Attend Unified and UMAMS meetings Complete all assigned compliance and education requirements Assist in recruiting staff Assist in special projects Position Requirements:
ARRT Certification in Radiology and Mammography - RT(R)(M) Minimum 5 years' experience in Mammography Minimum 3 years' experience outpatient or inpatient imaging leadership Minimum 2 years' experience in MQSA and ACR Regulations Regular travel to imaging centers required Familiar with outpatient practice procedures, including EMR and PACS workflow Experience working with integrated patient scheduling and billing systems preferred Ability to communicate effectively in group and one on one settings Resourceful approach to problem-solving, demonstrating critical thinking skills Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
