Job Description:
Position
Summary:
Responsible for the successful routing of outbound SpartanNash grocery distribution deliveries and optimizing available SpartanNash transportation network capacity to execute Vendor Backhauls to SpartanNash Distribution Centers while driving profitable revenue opportunities with For Hire Cartage customers to offset distribution costs with the SN Private Fleet.
Utilizing the SpartanNash TMS and Routing platforms, execute route optimization strategies to create costs savings, maintain service level KPI's, and deliver an excellent customer experience to internal SpartanNash business units, and SpartanNash customers.
Anticipated schedule:

00am or 9:
00am start time, Fri-Mon (preferred) or Tue-Sat.
Here's what you'll do:
Utilizes Route optimization tools to map the most efficient and cost-effective grocery distribution deliveries to SpartanNash customers.
Coordinates with SpartanNash Warehouse associates to maintain order drop schedules, and support fill rate metrics.
Partners with the Managed Freight Team on Vendor network additions, cancellations, and location changes.
Ensure all data entry is completed in a timely manner.
Proactively analyze and evaluate current production routing solutions for outbound and inbound loads as to viability and efficiency.
Considerations include customer hours of operations, cost, miles driven, availability of drivers and equipment, cube utilization and inbound opportunities.
There may be other considerations depending on the business environment.
Evaluate new or current business opportunities from a transportation perspective as they arise.
Assist in finding workable solutions to transportation issues that may arise at a DC.
Insure accurate and timely transportation data is entered into the routing software system for each location.
Evaluates and mitigates any inconsistencies to prevent issues.
Develops strong relationships with DC Transportation staffs.
Establish strategic alliances with DC personnel to facilitate routing strategies and opportunities.
Report generation and distribution to DC Transportation Teams and SpartanNash SalesPerform other duties relating to Distribution and Transportation as requested by managementHere's what you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with a focus on Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years of Logistics experience in a customer facing operations role.
Experience with Transportation Management Systems, Routing software, Load Boards, and Spot Market Pricing tools preferred.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with planning a regional and OTR driver fleet preferred.
Experience with outbound routing across a multiple Distribution Center environment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
