CHKD is seeking a caring and professional Value Analysis Manager to facilitate health, healing, and hope for our patients and their amazing families.
Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain and part of Purchasing, this role is at a satellite office near CHKD's main campus in Norfolk, VA and maintains a typical schedule of full-time, days.
The Value Analysis Manager manages CHKD's Value Analysis program and implements hospital-wide strategy/direction to reduce expenses and improve clinical outcomes and quality.
Seeks guidance from the Director and/or upper management for unusual or unanticipated circumstances that require deviation from financial and operational policies.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Assesses applicable financial, clinical, operational, and evidence-based literature and appropriately assists in the selection, evaluation, monitoring, analysis, and implementation of cost-effective products, services, and processes.
Provides clinical and strategic expertise to facilitate expense management and improved clinical outcomes using a research/evidence-based analysis process.
Directly supervises other members on the value analysis team.
Manages orientation, workflow, functions, and staffing for area of responsibility.
Collaborates with clinical staff, Value Analysis committees, Supply Chain team, group purchasing organizations (GPO), vendors, and internal customers.
Independently makes decisions for value analysis team in the absence of direct supervision.
Works collaboratively with Director on department projects and initiatives and with developing and presenting educational programs.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS Current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license, preferred.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
At least three years of progressively more responsible clinical experience required.
Experience with making financial decisions, budgeting, equipment sourcing, and/or nursing education is highly desirable.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
Aperek financial system experience is a plus.
Organizational skills; ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
Leadership skills and delegation experience needed in order to direct and assign work to subordinates, develop and explain hospital and department policies and procedures, and communicate effectively with other professionals in a diverse team environment.
