Job Duties:
We are seeking to fill multiple positions in the DDS Norfolk District Office and Roanoke District Office Upon completion of a probationary period, opportunities for some telework are available.

The DDS Henrico/Richmond District Office has no more vacancies and is not accepting any more applications.
The Disability Determination Services Division of the Virginia Department for Aging & Rehabilitative Services provides accurate, timely, efficient and cost-effective evaluations of medical and vocational evidence related to claims filed by citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia for Supplemental Security Income, Social Security Disability Insurance, and Medicaid benefits under the Social Security Act.

Qualifications:
We are currently seeking applicants with experience in gathering, reviewing and analyzing large volumes of records, arriving at well supported written decisions or conclusions following established policies, procedures, or guidelines.
After an onboarding training program, analysts maintain a caseload in a fast-paced office setting with quarterly and annual goals and are required to make on-going phone calls with claimants, attorneys, advocates, employers, medical providers, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate has an undergraduate college degree or equivalent training and education (including but not limited to certifications from community college, technical/vocational school, military training E-4+ , etc.
).
The ideal candidate has experience analyzing and interpreting complex policies, procedures, and regulations.
Successful candidates are also able to demonstrate their ability to effectively communicate critical information in writing, provide excellent customer service, and work professionally and efficiently with diverse clientele in a production driven work environment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
