Responsibilities:
Must have, a minimum, one (1) year of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) Ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of the residents based on budget, census.
Must possess creativity, integrity, and initiative Plan, organize, and implement skills training programs/in-services for clinical staff and other departments; Perform orientation classes Develop educational strategies to facilitate quality improvement efforts Focus on Quality improvement Overseeing Infection Control (including Employee Health) Maintaining in-service educational records Coordinating the function for CNA certification training classes Coordinate with and utilize community resources in meeting educational and staffing needs Oversee the process for competency evaluation of new employees Recommend progression to permanent employment or extension of orientation/probationary period for new employees Work closely with HR regarding hiring process and new employee files.
