The selected individuals will patrol and secure assigned public housing communities in Norfolk.
The starting pay rate for this position is $15.
00 - $18.

Below are the positions we are hiring for:
Norfolk, VA:
Position 1:
Flexible shift, Security Officer picks hours worked from Monday - Sunday 10am-10pm (24 hours/week- $15/hour) Position 2:
Thursday - Sunday:
6pm-2am (24 hours/week - $18/hour)
Responsibilities:
Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security Warn violators of premise rules and regulations Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes Request emergency personnel for high risk situations
Qualifications:
Must have a current and valid armed VA DCJS license.
(MUST HOLD A VIRGINIA STATE DCJS ARMED LICENSE) MUST have own firearm or be willing to purchase one upon hire Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields Familiarity with security equipment Ability to handle physical workload Strong attention to detail Job Types:
