Logistics Data Analytics Analyst - Clearance Required

This position will support a client-facing project related to improving Asset Performance Management in the Naval Surface Force (Norfolk area) using data science tools and techniques. Dedicated to workstreams and report directly to the workstream lead Works closely with workstream lead in day-to-day execution of project tasks Develop and implement data analytics and prepare descriptive tables and other analytic products Collect, inventory, and transform diverse data for analysis, creation of performance indicators, and modeling. Data to focus on asset and material maintenance and management, as well as policy data Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering, operations research, mathematics, or a related discipline preferred 3-5
years of specialized experience in data analytics with focus in business intelligence/visualization, (exploratory) data analysis and trending, modeling Strong working knowledge of large, complex environments Direct experience implementing military or industry business solutions and services Expert ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms with all levels of executives, staff, and clients Ability to work independently or with limited supervision Possess critical thinking, problem solving, and initiative/proactive skills Experience in understanding and applying data analytics Experience in statistical and mathematical modeling (i.e. regression analysis, simulation, impact analyses, geographic analyses, performance measurement/management) Experience in analytical technologies (i.e. MS Excel, R, Python, Tableau, PowerBI) and in developing data visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations Knowledge of Navy operations and data systems (Desirable) Skilled in strategic thinking and accomplishing data and performance analytics Avaiable for occasional travel Position requires an active security clearance at the SECRET level
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
