Associate Director Institutional Research

Associate Director Institutional Research (FP373A) The Associate Director of Institutional Research has responsibility for the day-to-day oversight of institutional research activities of the University including the gathering and reporting of data to government agencies and analytical support for decision making and policy development.
This person provides primary support for Banner ODS and EDW development, testing, implementations, maintenance, and training.
This person also provides advanced technical support in IRA in the areas of programming and database administration and supervises other institutional research professional and student staff.
Required
Qualifications:
Master's degree in research-related field (social sciences, mathematics, education, business) with strong quantitative/mathematical components.
Programming and data management training.
Previous experience demonstrating strong analytic skills in an office of institutional research or functionally similar setting.
Experience with extracting information using computer programming languages and online analytical processing systems.
Experience in an analytic and data support role for one or more years required.
Experience with retrieving and analyzing information from websites of government and other agencies.
Previous experience in a higher education environment and hands-on programming experience.
Ability to collect, manage, analyze, interpret, and communication a broad range of institutional data.
Expertise in the use of the statistical software package SAS for analyzing large datasets.
Ability to interpret and produce effective written documentation for data systems.
Ability to effectively supervise the work of others.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to relate well to individuals at all levels of the organization.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of higher education organizations strongly preferred.
Conditions of Employment:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
