Job Description:
The Academic Affairs Data Analyst supports the all significant faculty data systems, including primarily the FACFILE, University Faculty Activity System (FAS) and Faculty Expertise & Research Information System (VIVO) critical to University accountability reporting regarding faculty instructional productivity, cost efficiency, and research and service components.
At the direction of the Assistant Vice President of Administration for Academic Affairs, the Data Analyst manages the Digital Measures FAS systems, datasets, training, development and application for College/Department needs.
Conducts data analysis and manages data integration for critical Academic Affairs administrative issues requiring all instructional compensation data, course and enrollment data, and ad hoc datasets and topics at the request of the Associate/Assistant Vice Presidents, Vice Provosts, and Provost.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Considerable knowledge using and applying database applications and software, database reporting software, database user interface and query software, and data mining software.
Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to produce data in a clear and understandable manner meeting user requirement.
Ability to collect data using a variety of methods, such as data mining and hardcopy or electronic documentation study, to improve or expand databases.
Ability to manage multiple activities in a deadline-oriented environment; highly organized, flexible and rigorous attention to detail.
Ability to use logic to calculate data; efficiently construct a database or scrutinize the form of a question.
Ability to work with data of varying levels of quality and validity.
Ability to work effectively with multiple internal and external customers.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
