Assist Purchasing and Subcontracts. Prepare and send bid packages to subcontractors for pricing. Enter and maintain bids and pertinent information into bid tracker. Maintain files for traceability. Follow up with subcontractors on status of bids in a timely manner. Assist in preparation of supporting documentation for subcontractor negotiations, consent actions, and price reasonableness determination. Communicate with Program Management and Contract/Estimating Departments as necessary, during the estimating process and as required during the contract period for the exchange of information. Facilitate discussions with Program Management and subcontractors to resolve issues, when required. Perform similar, incidental and other duties as assigned. Must be able to work overtime on an as required basis.
Required Skills and Education
Required education: High School/GED
A minimum of 6 months experience working in a Marine Maritime and/or Ship Repair environment.
A minimum of two years purchasing experience in subcontract administration or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Skills and Education
Working knowledge of Cost Point/Deltek data base.
