Responsibilities: The internship is in the Marketing Department of Dominion Enterprises, based in downtown Norfolk Virginia. The primary role will be to work on marketing projects related to branding with consumers, driving traffic to the websites, developing content and supporting sales team with marketing materials and events. The following outlines the duties of the design intern: (some or all of the following)
Works closely with in-house graphic designer to create new sales flyers, brochures and presentations, create graphics updates to the web sites
Provide support for company events and tradeshows by helping with the organization and logistics
Creating visually pleasing, consumer-friendly web page layouts with web-based graphics optimized for fast download times.
Demonstrating excellent analytical, technical, and problem solving skills, ability to suggest creative solutions, attention to detail, and sense of craftsmanship.
Familiarity with the various standard web graphic formats, their differences and proper applications. The graphic design intern reports to the Marketing Coordinator. This position is structured to provide a real world educational experience and students must apply for credit with their department. The position is non-paid. Flexible work schedules are available and accommodations for class schedules will be made. Downtown parking is provided. Interested students pursuing a Graphic Design/Arts major or minor should apply to this posting ASAPEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
