The Electronic Technician III will report to the Site Manager.
A working first line supervisor. Responsible for all repair and maintenance of the COMS trainers including but not limited to supervising and technically assisting other technicians, performing upgrades and revisions.
Performs operations and maintenance to include large scale integration video display systems, analog to digital integration, high density cable and plug repair, and software maintenance.
Performs comprehensive troubleshooting and repair of electronic systems to included but not limited to; Trainer Unique Equipment (TUE), Embedded Technical Training Equipment (ETTE), and consumables.
Maintains accurate day to day records. Provide the necessary monthly reports and keeps an accurate inventory of spares.
This position may also perform the requirements of a Shift Supervisor.
As a supervisor must be capable of disciplining employees in accordance with Cubic''s policies. The supervisor must be able to handle the pressure of real time training.
Provides a resource of knowledge, experience and guidance to lower level Technicians to facilitate their professional training and capabilities.
Work any shift and weekends as required by contract.
Performs other tasking as required or assigned by the Site Manager.
Requires mental alertness and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Physical ability to walk on rugged, uneven surfaces, stand and/or sit for extended periods of time, and to climb two (2) flights of stairs and ladders is required. The ability to lift and carry 75 pounds is required. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Ability to obtain a US passport. Ability to cope with stressful situations. Must present a professional appearance at all times. Must be a US citizen.
Have demonstrated competence through satisfactory, progressive performance as a simulator technician. Minimum experience shall be exclusive of formalized training and must include six (6) years simulator maintenance of which two (2) years demonstrate complex maintenance equivalent to all major electronic areas, systems and subsystems outlined above. Graduated from a two year electronic technician resident course at an accredited technical institute or completed factory/formal on devices located at the site. Position requires an Information Assurance (IA) certification of A+; a Security
is desired. Applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to receive and maintain a minimum of a SECRET clearance for access to classified information.
